Ten people · one enormous drawing

The Drawing Table

A different kind of creative evening. Draw, experiment, talk and make something together — with no pressure to be good at drawing.

Your lines meet other people’s lines. Slowly, it becomes one shared artwork.

You don’t need to be an artist. You don’t even need to think you’re good at drawing.

The Drawing Table was created for people who love art and creativity but don’t always have the confidence, time or space to make it part of their lives. Jane gently guides you through playful exercises that get you out of your head and into the act of making.

There are no mistakes, no individual artworks to compare and no pressure to produce something “good”. You don’t have to know what you’re doing. That’s rather the point.

A gentle invitation to make, not an art class.

Warm, relaxed and just a little bit decadent — everything is prepared so you can simply arrive and begin.

A few good questions

Do I need to be able to draw?
Not at all. No previous art experience is needed. The exercises are designed to be playful and low-pressure, and there is no individual finished piece to judge.
Can I come alone?
Absolutely. Making something together gives conversation a natural place to begin, without the pressure of simply walking into a room and mingling.
Do I need to bring anything?
No. All materials, refreshments and everything you need for the evening are ready at the table. Just come as you are.
What happens to the finished drawing?
Jane divides it into original pieces after the event. One is carefully packaged and posted to each guest — not necessarily the part you drew, but a piece of something everyone made together.
Is this an art class?
No. There is gentle guidance, prompts and encouragement, but no prescribed outcome and no expectation that your work should look a certain way.
What should I wear?
Something comfortable that you don’t mind making art in. The materials are thoughtfully chosen, but creative evenings can occasionally leave their mark.
